Hi
Thanks for your quick reply.
I have already installed Perl
I have added index.pl+awstats.pl to the index files.
I have also added Perl to "Scripting parameters";
Ticked "Enable Scripts Executions
Interpreters: CGI/ISAPI - C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe
Script paths: /*.cgi
Have I missed anything?
Best regards,
Henrik |

Nope, it should be working now. Are you sure you configured the correct Host? Can you show us a screenshot of your settings? |

Hi again
Here is some screen shots of my settings in Abyss:

Here is a link to my awstats conf file (renamed to .txt)
www.familien-jessen.eu/test/awstats.www.familien-jessen.eu.conf.txt
Hope you can see what might be wrong.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,

You forgot to add "pl" to the Associated Extensions. Also make sure it's in the Scripts paths after adding it. |

Hi again
That did the trick! Now I can access AWStats (www.familien-jessen.eu/awstats/)
Now I just need to get awstats working, but unfortunately it says this when I hit "Update now" (in Danish "Opdater nu") in my browser:
Error: Couldn't open server log file "C:/Abyss Web Server/log/access.log" : No such file or directory
I checked, that both the correct directory and access.log are avaliable.
I have also tried updating thru a DOS command line (perl awstats.pl -config=mysite -update):
Create/Update database for config "./awstats.www.familien-jessen.eu.conf by AWStats version 6.8 (build 1.910)
From data in logfile "C:/Abyss Web Server/log/access.log"...
Error: Couldn´t open server log file "C:/Abyss Web Server/log/access.log": No such file or directory
Setup ('./awstats/www.familien-jessen.eu.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
Check config file, permissionsand AWStats documentation (in ´docs´ directory)
I have looked thru the AWStats documentation - but can´t figure out what is wrong.
I run my Abyss Web Server on a Win XP Home SP2 Laptop.
Thank you very much for your help - its highly appreciated.
Best regards,
Henrik
Ps. I have tried adding a signature with a picture to my profile - how can I get that working? _________________

Hi again
Topic solved!
I changed the logfile in the conf file from:
LogFile="C:/Abyss Web Server/log/access.log"
to
LogFile="../../log/access.log"
Thank you very much for all your help.
Best regards,

I noticed that you forgot to include http:// in your URLs. The signature won't work without the full URL. |

That's awkward. This is how my signature is set up.

Hi again
Thats strange - maybe its because my image is created by a php script?
Here is mine:
[ url=http://www.silkeborg-vejret.dk/english/ ][ img ]http://www.silkeborg-vejret.dk/english/wxsticker/sticker.php?type=banner_big[ /img ][ /url ]
If you call this in a browser the image appears just fine:
http://www.silkeborg-vejret.dk/english/wxsticker/sticker.php?type=banner_big
Best regards,

Try using an image that's not from a PHP script and see if that works. If it works, you may need URL Rewriting to create a dynamic image. |

Hi again
Ok - changed the URL to the image and now its working. But without my weather data, which are created by the php script.
Have to think of another way to do it.
Best regards,

You should use an alias, like .jpeg (like I do) to make dynamic php images. Forums don't let you use php files as images as a security precaution. In the abyss console you can use an alias to a php file in the alias configuration to an image file such as signature.jpeg. This will force the forum to use it. You can also use the same method but using a php interpreter file ending instead of alias's. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Im not sure where and how to make an alias to make dynamic php images.
I have tried adding signature.png into the "alias" menu in the Abyss console.
Best regards,
