|
|
I appear to be unable to set the CGI Path to the following:
"c:\My Documents\Web Site\cgi-bin"
As soon as I try to add it, the form returns the following:
"Bad virtual path (It must begin with a slash /)"
Ofcourse I've tried this with and without the quotes.
As a result, my CGI executables don't work.
Others appear to be able to do this though...
Please help,
Roland

Hi Brandt--
Do you mean in the abyss console/advanced/cgi parameters?
If so, you just add "/cgi-bin" (no quotes).

It is indeed in the console/advanced/cgi parameters section.
Normally I wouldn't have to add "/cgi-bin" since it's already there by default. I have no problems with removing this and adding it again. The issue is that this is a relative path (if I understand the instructions correctly) and not an absulute path. In addition to this, it assumes that this relative path is a subdirectory of the folder the program was installed in.
I however have installet the server program in "c:\program files\Abyss Web Server" and have installed the html files in "c:\My Documents\Web Site\". The cgi-bin folder where the cgi executables are installed is a subdirectory of this folder e.g. "c:\My Documents\Web Site\cgi-bin".
As far as I've understood: I need to add the reference to this path "c:\My Documents\Web Site\cgi-bin" in the console/advanced/cgi parameters/cgi paths "section as an absolute path. This is wat I can't accomplish. |

Create an alias to the cgi-bin folder so the /cgi-bin/ alias points to the absolute path and the cgi-bin path uses the alias. |

Thanks, setting the alias worked.
Should have thought about that myself...
