I cannot get an IBF message board to work. I've done everything I can. In their help files it says if I get coding instead of an installer php is wrong. I don't know what is going on. And whenever I try to access my pages I get a page cannot be displayed error. Take a look...
Server Port: 8475 - Console Port: 9999
Web server local URL: http://127.0.0.1:8475/
Console local URL: http://127.0.0.1:9999/
I've tried everything...NOTHING WORKS. I have a friend who set up an IBF message board fine, but, he can't figure out whats wrong here. |

Like I said again, stop with the local host...
If you use "127.0.0.1", the IP loops to "our" computer.
E.g, the address will go to my computer, looking at that port / see if it's open. We need your real IP to assess what's wrong. |

Firaga, go to :
http://www.aprelium.com/ip/
THAT'S the ip address you need to give us, NOT the local 127.0.0.1 etc.
Then we might be able to help you with your problem. |

Web server local URL: http://68.6.216.163:8475/

Also, any folderI can only access likelog files and stuff. I think it might be something wrong with my sql, I'll reinstall it. |

When I accessed your IP, all it showed was the contents of your abyss web server folder in your program files.
Before tackling your message board problem, you should configure Abyss Web Server properly.
When it's configured correctly, I recommend you make a simple index page and put it in you htdocs folder.
(Everything you want the world to see should be in your htdocs,...including forums.)
Take a peek HERE to help configure it.
Or, like you said, reinstall it and start from scratch. |

In the htdocs folder.
Then, you need to use your browser to access your sm_install.php file.
Configure it with your mysql information. |

My guess is that you put the wrong path to your forums for the cgi paths , put /forums and then try , thats one mistake i made when testing out the new patch that Aprelium is releasing Saturday. 8) _________________ This web server is the best ! |

Forget about FTP.
Installing Invision is almost the same as installing PHPBB. Go here:
http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1072
Put everything in your htdocs/forums/ folder.
Only difference is you run sm_install.php instead of install.php. |

The reason why he's posting here, is cause I suggested it. Everyone rules here, and helps out.
In addition, after trying to help via VNC, I couldn't... All I knew is he did something wrong, and i coudln't figure it out. :? |

http://68.6.216.163:8475/sm_install.phpalso, NONE of the other files show, if I click on the forums directory, it gives me a page can't be displayed. |

You need to check and see if you have PHP installed and configured correctly.
Make sure you follow ALL instructions to the letter.
Assuming you have PHP configured right and your forum is in the correct
directory, then you should see the sm_install.php page when you browse to it. |
