If there is an executable that can run ASP .net as CGI, all is OK.
We're not specialist, but we doubt such a program exists already. ASP .net is still a Micorsoft technology and there must be a delay until someone write an ActiveHTML-like (supports ASP 3.0 only) to handle ASP .net.
Still, some users reported that .net programs (not ASP specifically) run on Abyss, please read http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1658 for more information. _________________ Support Team

I tried but it doesn't seem 2 work.
Any way i dun need it
jus wanted 2 experiment with it
PHP n' Perl will do the job
maybe it doesn't work because i dont know the file 2 put in the CGI interpreter
o well... _________________ Dark Dragon

I used Abyss when I found that IIS was not available on XP Home, and my laptop had some obscure drivers that made it difficult to change to XP Prof or W2K. It works fine for everything, except ASP.NET. It would be nice if it also worked for that technology. |

Sadly ASP.net wont be available on Abyss, and probably never will due to the way .Net intergrated into the operating system and web server, although microosft was forced to create an emulator for Linux/Apache...
Somone may release a GGI interpreter which allows some use of asp.net, but asp.net seems to work in real time vurses click > wait > do somthing..
sorry, but thats about the best that's going to happen... Dont forget PHP 5 is coming out soon, and thats supposed to be better than ASP.net 8) _________________ -- Miles
