|
|
Hello there,
if I try to use an alias for an folder to point to an other absolut path it doesn't work
I.e.:
I go to "Hosts - Edit - http://domain.tld + https://domain.tld - Aliases
I enter "/test" in the field for "Virtual Path"
I enter "c:\www\global\test_target" "Real Path"
Inside c:\www\global\test_target exist a file called "test.png"
If I try to call it inside the browser like "https://domain.tld/test/test.png" it runs into a 404.
I also have try many other combinations and also try to explicit allow directory listing for the virtual "/test" but nothing helps...
... and yes: WINDOWS Server 2016 Datacenter as Base-OS
HowTo??? _________________ DLzG

M*I*B,
Can you send your abyss.conf file to our support by email for review? Can you also give us the exact test URL that you used and that reported error 404?
From your message, we guess there are two possibilities:
* Either a typo in one of the file names/paths
* Or domain.tld is not the host that is actually responding to your test. _________________ Follow @abyssws on Twitter

... ok, forget my problem ...
The problem is gone after rebooting the whole server. Don't know why but now it works well, also if I switch directory-listing off for the virtual folder (only useable if the user know the name of the file; right that what I want).
So ty for your assistance.
BTW: WebDAV? Is that possible? I have read the topic https://aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16151&highlight=webdav and it look's like that it isn't possible right now, hu? _________________ DLzG

You're welcome.
Regarding WebDAV, it is not supported natively by Abyss Web Server. But you can install scripts/Web apps that offer WebDAV support such as SabreDAV, ownCloud or NextCloud. _________________ Follow @abyssws on Twitter
