I'm just wondering what's going on lately with Abyss. Any news on development? What's in the works? Also there was mentioning of a newsletter, is that going to happen? _________________ -Blake | New Server :D

The 64-bit version is almost ready and it will be announced very soon. Actually there will be single installer that will deploy the 32-bit version on 32-bit systems and offer the choice between the 32 and 64-bit version on 64-bit systems. We believe that having a single installer makes it easier for users and for us (less installers to create and test.)
We focused also on adding support for the new ASP.NET technologies (MVC and AJAX extensions.)
FastCGI has been made more robust and the enigmatic batches of "Error 500" messages that some of you experienced with PHP/FastCGI are no more.
The first issue of the newsletter will be published during this month. The materials and the mailing system are both ready.
Abyss Web Server is now mature and that's why the release cycle is slower than it was a few years ago. But Aprelium is still very committed to Abyss Web Server success. We are still responding to support requests on a timely manner and a lot of work is being done to reengineer the software and keep it up-to-date.
We still also need the support of our users and customers. That's what helped shape Abyss Web Server and that's what is needed to help keep it a great alternative.
If you (or any forum member) has a suggestion or a remark, please post it here or direct it to support@aprelium.com. As usual, we'll do our best to reply and we'll take your opinion into account when improving our software or our services.
Thank you. _________________ Support Team
