There are a lot of posts regarding Perl scripts which run directly under the interpreter but give a 500 error when invoked by a browser. I think you will find that many of these problems have nothing to do with AWS but the fact that the browser requires a header return which the interpreter does not.
If all Perl scripts to be run via the browser start
print "Content-type: text/html\n\n";
you could find your problem has gone |

Really useful answer -- can we put this in the main Abyss/CGI/Perl documentation, and in the Abyss F.A.Q. please? _________________ http://www.blibbleblobble.co.uk/Contact/PGPKey/ |

By the way, this is not specific to Abyss. This is how all Perl CGIs must be written in order to work on web servers. _________________ Support Team

$use_flock = ?;
# Set to 0 if your server doesn't support file locking,
# 1 for Unix/Linux and WinNT, and 2 for Windows 95/98/ME
find what os you are using, and put the number where the ? is . and your yabb should work fine.. |
