This is not a LINUX question, linux is quite pathetic to UNIX in web serving.
How come I got ASP.NET working on my Unix?
And it is an EXE, does Abyss have a EXE to BIN translator? |

ASP.net is a windows only scripting language. You could have found this out by SEARCHING the forum FIRST.
If you continue to ask questions without searching first then people will begin to get irritated (I am already beginning to).
1. Search first
2. Search google second
3. Ask friends third
4. Ask on the forum last.
Abyss is a web server only. It is not an exe to bin converter, it is not a mail server, it is not an ftp server, it is a WEB SERVER only. It does nothing else. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

easytec, why do you have asp.net inside your unix box? :-P and since you mentioned it's through abyss, then why would you have asp.net pages (aspx?) in your unix box? :-P _________________

I am quite aware that Abyss Web Server is a web server (though I do have an FTP server and mail server).
ASP.NET some how is appearing to work on my machine.
I though ASP.NET was Windows only.
I do have ASPX pages on my HTTPS server running Linux, my HTTP server is Windows, but they are not connected.
My HTTP server runs off proxy to my HTTPS server. |

You might have a software on your Linux called "Wine"; it allows you to run some Windows applications on Linux. ASP.NET is really made for Windows. |

...wait are you using linux or unix?
I am pretty sure that ASP.NET works in WINE, but I haven't tried it. It would make sense that they would include it, but there are many things that aren't in wine.
If you are running unix then I don't know how it is working. _________________

Are you sure the dynamic code in the ASPX pages is being executed? We doubt if it is. Our guess is that your ASPX pages are just showing because they contain some HTML code in them. Try browsing an ASPX page served by your LInux server and checking the source code of the resulting page in your browser. You will see there the ASP.NET code as it is (it has not been interpreted/processed). _________________ Support Team
