Yes, welcome back!
I think the biggest changes are URL rewriting and HTTPS support.
Josh's PBA project has moved to my project at http://abyss-websites.com
You can add your site at http://abyss-websites.com/add

My site is number 36. however, so is 37. The reason for this, site 37 is my intranet at work, password protected, and accessible on the outside by me., wink wink, as far as they're concerned, it's an intranet...lol Site 36 is our website. trcok.com is not set in the total domain control area to our IP address, it is actualy forwarded to 70.182.66.84/trcweb/. So, the reason site 36 on your site says it MAY not be ran off of abyss web server is not really seeing the whole story. Its version is 2.3, I just have yet to install 2.5 I'm going to test it at home first. |

ok, well, tests out all good here at the house. so good I might keep this and keep running the 2.3V at work. I figure that is legal seeing I had to pay full price again for 2.5. Time expired on updates for the one at work, but it is lifetime ownership right? Anywho, wish there was a work around to get the one at work updated without paying full price. I'd pay the $29.00 fee if it were possible. |

All fixed. Just changed the database to say your site was framed and put in the server URL as your IP address. _________________ Stephen

pkSML, I'm curious if you know how i can get my pcAudit img to work in my signature? Kind of like yours, not as detailed. Will the BB code not take the .asp as an image? if not, and that is my problem, is there a bbCode work around? Here is what I typed in minus the spaces

You need to make the asp script a alias in the abyss console.
Eg Alias "mysig.jpg" linking to the file "myinfo.asp" _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Actualy, when I say "mine", I don't mean literaly. ;) It isn't running on my server, so, I can't change anything on my end to make the alias. So, basicly, it just won't work....it's cool, I got to thinking that would be retarded since others have been doing that. No need to step on the toes of others ideas. |

The reason it doesn't work on the forum is to prevent people using scripts etc, however the alias is one of only two ways round it. The other is also server side and requires using the jpg or jpeg (or other image extension) as the scripting language extension, so it thinks its a script and executes it as such... if you understand :-) _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

This is actually quite simple. In your IMG bbcode tag, have the url to the image, then tag on /image.jpg or /image.gif depending on the type of image it is. Technically speaking, what you're adding is the PATH_INFO CGI variable, but it's treated as a filename by the forum software.
For the techies: My sig points to /a.gif, which is redirected with a 301 (using URL re-writing) to my sig script, of which I tacked on /aprelium.gif to the URL. _________________ Stephen

It is possible to offer you a discount or an advantage since you're a long time custoer and supporter or Abyss Web Server. Please contact our priority technical support about that. Thanks. _________________ Support Team
