Back in college, one of the classes was pretty much web stuff - html/javascript/php/mysql. Didn't learn as much as I should have because I didn't at the time push myself to do more than the bare assignments. My roomie and I were taking the same classes so for semester projects, where we formed groups, I mainly worked on an opengl model of a boat on rolling waves, for the graphics class, and he mainly worked on the message board involving html/jscript/etc.
Now i pretty much started getting back into it as my interests swayed (nearly 4 years later). Although not by much.
It's pseudo3d, though at least this time it's javascript line drawing over a massive table. and ridiculously basic looking :P

So here's my site (i b a n00b!). Powered by abyss. I have to admit, it's WAY easier to get started compared to apache. I mean i'm sure there's frontends for apache, and I'll probably have reasons to dig around text files (maybe?) at some point but the console was the first thing that hit me.
btw: Do we still call it wamp?

btw the "liveboard" (bored) is a silly experiment i'm using to figure out ajax, i.e. the wee object to get info like an invisible iframe used back during college.. no registration, just use a non empty comment, and username.
Anyone know a nice javascript editor? pspad and scite work, and do SOME syntax highlighting, but not a lot. Also would LOVE anything with autocomplete - like say i'm typing document. , i'd see a dropdown with the possible attributes. |

just courios, you ppl using *nix or windows as the dev. enviroment? (btw - I tryed SciTE on windows and it is really nice - will have to dig a bit more to understand all the config files concept though, but i was able to set the tabbed enviroment - which will work only on windows - if i should belive the scite faq.) |
We're using both as the code has to be tested on Linux and various Windows versions before it is released. And that's why we use SciTe (it is available on both systems). |
yeah scite is ok, and i know the editor is capable of a lot of nice features, from using a customized version to create auto-it scripts. Do you know of any addons for the editor concerning javascript? I know scite supports auto completion. |

We're not aware of such an add-on. But it could be added easily since PHP edition on SciTE shows that autocompletions works (common functions are listed). _________________ Support Team
