I am really new to web so I'm a little confused.
I have a small example of a asp application that I would like to run on my XP Home laptop. It's from a book on Crystal Reports. It basically shows a webpage and then runs Crystal Reports RDC to create the report.
Is this something I could expect to run properly on Abyss the personal version?
If someone has Crystal Reports XI Developer, you can download the source from www.crystalbook.com. It's in the sample area, called ASP RDC or something like that.
It runs fine at work on our Windows 2000 server, but I want to be able to make changes and test at home.
Thanks,

Okay, I downloaded Abyss along with the ActiveHtml software.
It looks like the sample websites are working but I'm getting an Error 500 on my page when I do the submit.
It's showing Broken Pipe in the cgi.log file.
I suspect I don't have something on the Crystal Reports set up properly, but I'm not sure.
Any ideas?

I installed 100% of the Crystal Reports Components, and it still gives me the error.
I don't even mind buying the non-free version of Abyss if I can get this to work.
Anybody running Abyss and Crystal Reports XI Developer on the same machine who could test it?

asawyer13,
That error os not related to Abyss Web Server: it simply means that there ActiveHTML has a problem starting (most of the time because it cannot locate or download a component). We strongly suggest that you contact Selisoft support to help you troubleshoot the problem. _________________ Support Team
