The other day I posted a question about recommendations anyone might have for a source for templates, and when I came back here this morning to read the replies the thread was gone...
I think I know what happened... a simple question turned into a flaming war... am I right? and I bet I can guess who was responsible for it.
It was bad enough that I knew in advance that when I posted a question here I was going to have to wade through a load of insults, profanity and abuse in order to hopefully find a little of the information I was hoping to learn, but this is really too much.
What are these forums really for? I thought this was where Abyss users could come for help and suggestions, but it seems to be just an outlet for one angry and disturbed person's unreasonable emotional outbursts and childish demands for attention.
The fact that Aprelium allows that kind of behavior here totally eliminates the value of these forums for me. I get nothing out of being abused and called names when I have a question about software, or if I try to help others who do, and I am really reluctant to recommend Aprelium/Abyss to anyone else because it has become such a struggle to get any kind of support... I would be embarrassed if someone else had to deal with an experience like this because of my recommendation.
I am totally disappointed and I'm done trying to participate in these forums until Aprelium takes some kind of responsibility for maintaining and enforcing some ground rules for their use, and makes an effort to stop this kind of abuse. |

take a look in the web site forums. there is an annoucment by aprelium on the matter.

I am the forum administrator. Some threads were "hidden" yesterday because the messages they contained (not necessarily the first) do not conform to our new policy. We'll try to clean them and they'll be available ASAP.
Meanwhile, you can repost your question.
(In other words, some people who are badly behaving can indirectly harm those who are really doing their best on these forums). |
