Permissions aren't set in the web server but rather at the level of your filesystem.

If you are working on Windows, you need to set the directory writable (not read-only).

If you're on Linux, execute the command chmod -R 755 <dir>. _________________ Support Team

That's all good, but it didn't help me.

Things I've tried:

 - Setting the folder as a "shared" folder

 - Ensuring the folder/files were NOT read-only

Is there anything else? It's preventing a chat program, and my forum from allowing attachments.... |

If you did all that, the files and the directory are writable. So check the script configuration for the problem. It may come from it. _________________ Support Team

i've tried looking at the script, and i'm convinced it's not the problem. (then again i don't know much about php....

ANY other ideas?

Or perhaps you have a chat script you know works? and a way to upload files under window? that way I could see if it's the file system or the script? |
